Introduction
The Bangkok Beer Guide (BKBG) booklet is based on the information from the website of the same name, and intended for visitors looking for craft beer. All information is presented in English.
The information is to be a starting point. There are some local beer spots, some big names, and some highlights, to explore the beer culture in the city.
This booklet is definitely NOT definitive.
The BKBG does NOT encourage excessive drinking, but provides this information to support the local beer community to be used in a responsible manner.
Bars to look for, by area
To see a map, look here: Google Map Link
Bangkok is a pretty big city, so the idea is to separate the city into different areas rather than just a list of the editor’s favorite bars.
Areas are in alphabetical order, then the bars are in alphabetical order.

BKBG Link Facebook Link Google Maps
Dok Kaew is located in an old Thai house that is rumored to be haunted. There are tables inside the house and out on the patio.

Food: Dok Kaew specializes in Isaan (Northern Thai) food, and has hosted several beer + food pairing dinners.
2. Eight Days a Week Homebar
BKBG Link Facebook Link Google Maps
Eight Days a Week is a top-notch local Thai beer bar. The bar has a big parking lot, lots of space for musical performances inside, and has snacks and dishes to help soak up the beer.
Beer: Local Thai craft beers are the focus at the bar, even beers brewed by the owner. As the beers on draft are listed by block letters, often the name of the beer is not listed, but not the brewery.
Food: A variety of standard fried bar snacks and Thai dishes are on offer to share with a crowd or enjoy dinner on its own.
Nearby: other bars to look for in Ari include:
Juis Bar, a music bar, and
O’glee: a bar and restaurant.
Bang Na (East end of BTS) Area
Bang Na is a large area in Bangkok’s southeast – where the BTS Sukhumvit line ends.

The list on the Beginner’s Guide to Bangkok Beer will try to keep this info updated.
