A relaxed craft beer bar and a curated selection
Easy to walk past during the day, as it looks like a nice cafe that also sells food in the front for take-away. However, step inside in the evening and the lights are dimmed, the tea candles are lit, and there are 11 taps and a fridge of beers and ciders awaiting.
The selection of beer is well-curated: there is a mix of styles of beer and divided between imported and domestic beers, and there were at least two beers that had only recently been released to the public.
Address: 665 Sukhumvit Rd, Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110. (Google Maps)
Getting to 39 Craft Coffee:
The cafe is in the Sukhumvit area, basically under the Phrom Phong BTS station (exit 3), which is the closest public transportation. Walk down the stairs and do a U-turn, or take the elevator/lift down to the street, and its right there.
NOTE: the cafe/bar is previously known as 39 Espresso
A cafe before they can sell beer
39 Craft Coffee is, as the name implies, a cafe during the day. A variety of coffee drinks and pieces of cake are available for purchase. Additionally, Thai street food is sold at the front of the shop.
More beer places in the area:
Hair of the Dog (Phrom Phong) has a wide selection of craft beers and bottles available in the fridge + 15 taps. Of note is the stout fridge.
Outside exit 1 of Phrom Phon BTS, Bootleg Brothers is Thailand’s highest brewery, located on the 5th floor of EmQuartier Mall.
A craft brewery coming over from Burma/Myanmar offering British style beer and Burmese food. The bar also has nice outdoor seating to enjoy.
