Starting on Thursday this week, Bangkok has a number of beer events happening all over the city: Silom, Chinatown, Bang Na, and Nonthaburi (though not technically Bangkok). Each of them are happening different days, so it is possible to visit each one.
Three of the events are part of the Thai tour by Double Vision Brewing that have come over from New Zealand. They have worked on some collaboration beers with the Brewing Project and 12Plato.
Thursday, Aug. 1st – Craft @ Cafe
- Taste Thai craft beer
- organized monthly by Hoppy Butterfly
- At Le Cafe Des Stagiaires (map)
Friday, Aug. 2nd – Beer launch at Haze
- First pouring of collaboration beer between The Brewing Project & Double Vision Brewing of New Zealand
- Happening at HAZE.bkk (map)
- 5pm onwards
Haze is a HIGHLY recommended bar – it is great for getting good local craft beer in Bangkok. They recently celebrated their 7th or 8th anniversary, (they don’t really bother trying to count anymore), and had some great music and local beers. They specialize in big hazy IPAs.

Saturday, Aug. 3rd – Brewing at 12Plato
FYI – 12Plato is one of Bangkok’s brewpubs, meaning they brew their own beer on the premises. They have worked on making some collaboration beers with the brewers of Double Vision. You can enjoy the beer and food on their big patio.
Sunday, Aug. 4th – Chit Beer welcomes Double Vision
- Meet the brewers/founders at the home of Thai craft beer.
- Happening at Chit Beer (map)
- 2pm onwards
FYI – Chit Beer was one of the very first craft beer breweries in Thailand. They are located on Ko Kret, so it takes a little bit of time to get there. Chit Beer has also been opening taprooms around the country under the name Chit Hole.
