Sept. 4th – 6th, Sato So Good will take place by ประชาชนเบียร์ (also known as Beer People). The event focuses on sato, which is kind of like a rice wine that is a local Thai specialty alcoholic drink. The organizers have been working to expand their events and not to be too strictly focused on beer.

The event will take place over 3 days, and feature local food as well as locally focused music.

Sato is a Thai rice wine, as has been previously published on BKBG in 2025. It is often a clear, sometimes sparkling, rice wine, that is like the cousin to sake. Joe Stange wrote about it in his excellent article in Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine, more info:

Getting to the event

  • Yodpiman Riverwalk
  • 550 meters from Sanam Chai MRT

The event is taking place at Yodpiman Riverwalk, on the north bank of the Chao Phraya River. The closest public transportation is Sanam Chai station on the MRT blue line.

Organized under the concept “Original Thai Sip,” SATO SO GOOD aims to offer a fresh perspective to the new generation as well as international tourists, allowing them to discover the true charm of Sato. As a rice wine, Sato features a smooth, refreshing, and unique flavor profile that rivals world-famous rice wines such as Japanese Sake or Korean Makgeolli.

Sato Workshop (Free Daily Classes): Hands-on Sato making workshops with no entry fee! Learn essential techniques directly from brand owners – covering everything from rice fermentation methods and the history of traditional local spirits to the art of tasting and understanding flavor profiles the right way.

Music & Local Vibe by Durian Radio: Sunset soundtrack curated by DJs from Durian Radio, a music platform championing the “Support Your Local” movement—bringing together local soundscapes and craft culture by the river.
Riverfront Sunset Vibe: Immerse yourself in the evening ambiance along the Chao Phraya River with a chill lineup of music.
