The first Saturday of the month made for a good chance for Oktober Beers at Cloud 11. A little session to check out the new beer offerings at the new Cloud 11 mall.
NOTE: Google Maps suggested using Exit 2, but that is very INCORRECT! Exit 6 was for the walkway that was covered and avoided uneven sidewalk on the street.
12 Plato Fermentation Bar
Top marks goes to the fermentation bar as it had:
#1 – an Oktoberfest style beer (Festbier)! It also had some tasty curry wurst sausage and some DELICIOUS sweet potato fries.
– the red (purple) cabbage made for a nice addition in color and season.
12 Plato’s drink selection were divided between craft beers, fermented, and non alcoholic. The fermented includes sato and mead, but we were there for some beer and especially happy to enjoy the Oktoberfest style Festbier on tap.
Brewave and outside drinking
Brewave had a variety of local and imported beers, so it was decided to enjoy some German Erdinger dunkel, and to go local with the Kopi Pale Ale (it has caffeine!).
– We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze as we watched the families running around on the grass.
Taproom
Taproom did have a German special, offering Maisel’s Weisse and Bitburger Pils, as a special in for Oktoberfest. However, we were not especially in the mood for wheat or pilsner beer this afternoon.
