February 20th was the Grand Opening Party for The Upper Deck Sports Bar Bangkok, and it was a great opportuinity to try out some of their international dishes and of course some of the local beers (and hot sauces!) on offer.
Central Bangkok Food & Drink
The Upper Deck is on level 3 and 4 of the building that houses El Gaucho at Sukhumvit road and Soi 20.
It has a Chicago feel, being able to watch the BTS trains roll by between Asok and Phrom Phong Stations.
It is also in the style of an American sports bar, with foods and sports from the USA on feature, plus the pictures of John Daly posted in various places.

The beer menu is set between “popular draft” and “premium imported draft.” The fridges are full of the brand names of beers you would expect of a bar in Bangkok: Chang, Leo, Singha, etc
Part of the Pemium draft list includes a number of local Thai craft brands, which includes:
- BaanBangkok
- Chiang Mai
- ChitBeer
- Vana Brewing
