Although this event is NOT in Bangkok, it is an event that beer lovers of the city and beyond should know about. As the alcohol laws of Thailand change, the chance for new brewers and new beers in general are rapidly expanding. Where better to see and taste the future of Thailand’s beer than at the Thailand Homebrew Competition 2025? This year, Thailand’s competition is the BIGGEST homebrew competition in ASEAN:

The event is taking place at Wizard Brewing, a brewpub in Pattaya. What a great spot to celebrate local beer!The organizer of the event is East Beer, which is short for: East Coast Thailand Craft Beer Community.  They organize the annual homebrew competition as well as educational and craft beer events in Thailand.

The homebrew competition is the biggest in ASEAN with 360 entries, 6 Categories and 39 Styles.

After party & Award ceremony on 5 July, from 5pm at Intimate Hotel & Wizard Brewery.

10th Year of East Beer

It is the 10th anniversary of the event, and so it seems fitting that they are flying in 10 international beer judges, according to the Facebook post: 

• Singapore: 3 judges
• Taiwan
• Hong Kong: 4 judges
• Indonesia
• China

This will be on top of the other local judges that will be in attendance. Judges hail from brewing organizations such as:
