Swigs & Swallows is launching as a casual monthly meetup on the first Friday of every month. It will be after work hours for anyone in Bangkok to come and enjoy some local beer at places that are already selling good beer.
The first Friday of every month, let’s meet at a bar/restaurant in Bangkok and enjoy some local beer. We can eat and drink and get the weekend started right.

The first Swigs & Swallows Event will be 4/4/4: the 4th day of the 4th month (April) starting at 4pm. Early start, but come and join whenever.
Eats & Drinks at ChangWon
ChangWon is a Korean Style restaurant that will be our first location to visit. It has 10 taps of local and imported beer, cider, and wine. There is also a fridge that holds beer and kimchi.

For the Chili-heads / spice lovers: the Angry Bird is an incredibly spicy sauce that can be hard for many people to handle, but could be very attractive to people that want the spiciest food they can find.
Why Swigs & Swallows Friday Meetup?
We were thinking of calling the meet-up “Beers & Bites” but Thai laws surrounding sales and promotion of alcohol can be difficult to navigate, so we went with “Swigs and Swallows.”
What’s the big idea?

- Unique different bars every month
- No agenda beyond enjoying the local scene
The idea is to highlight and support the local bars that are already selling local Thai craft beer.
– Let’s support the bars that support the local brewers.
It is a chance to get beer-lovers and the local beer-curious together in a social setting and enjoy Bangkok’s bars.
