Late to the After Party

Remember in April 2025 when Australian brewery One Drop announced they were releasing a collaboration with local Thai craft brewery Samata that was named After Party? IT’S FINALLY MADE IT BANGKOK! There was plenty of interest in the beer in the city, and it was good to finally see it on tap, even if it is a little Late to the After Party.

at time of writing, the only place we know the beer is on tap is at Hair of the Dog Phrom Phong.

After Party Released April 21st

“The After Party 💙
A place of imagination where anything and everything can happen.
  • 🥭 Mango,
  • sticky rice dessert,
  • vanilla ice cream, and
  • butterfly pea flower.
Brewed with our mate Chote from @samatabrewing 🇹🇭
Pushing limits and finding the edges of beer & friendship.”

After Party Pouring at Hair of the Dog (PP)

Hair of the Dog in Phrom Phong got in the only kegs in Thailand (that we know of…) and put the beer on tap on Wednesday Nov. 5th

Did the 6 months of aging in the keg help or hinder?

Editor’s Note:  “It is a tasty THICK beer! The flavor is hard to describe, but it is like a tropical smoothie. I am glad I went to get one. I did not need to get a 2nd glass, but would definitely drink it again if given the chance.”

More on Samata

Chote (pictured) of Samata brewing has been focusing on fruit sours recently, and making use of a wide variety of local ingredients (including dried fish…) to create Thai-inspired beers for locals and visitors alike.

Most recently, Samata came out with Halloween spooky beers including a peanut butter flavor, and a lychee flavor beer.
