Beer Events

Do you prefer the sweet or the sour? Game to get funky? As it is international Sour Beer Day on the 20th, and it happens to be the BKBG Deputy Editor’s favorite beer style, we are headed to Hair of the Dog for a Sunday session to try as much fruity sours, funky farmhouses, and local Thai flavors as we can.

Session

In beer terms, a session is a casual drinking time to enjoy multiple servings over an extended period, at your leisure.
– this is similar to a ‘Session Beer’ which is a lower alcohol beer to drink multiple servings over an extended period without getting too intoxicated.
– this is different from ‘a Binge’ which is to drink a lot, generally rather quickly.

Local and International Sour Beers

There are a variety of local and imported beers at Hair of the Dog, and it should make an excellent chance to try a variety of beers from Bangkok, Australia, and the USA.
– there are a ton of other beer styles to try at the bar, too.

Samata

– brewed in Bangkok. Known for their Mango sticky rice, use of Thai flavors, and collaborations with Heros beer Co. (of Hong Kong) as well as One Drop, below.
