International Brewing Connections

Bangkok’s beer scene has plenty of international beers on offer, and there are examples of Bangkok beers finding their way out to other international cities, or collaborating with breweries from afar. Some recent collaborations and invitations help show Bangkok’s International Brewing Connections.

Samata Invited to Mikkeller Beer Celebration Bangkok 2026

The ‘Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen’ is an annual event in Denmark’s capital that brings together a wide variety of beers from around the world. Local Bangkok brewery, Samata has been invited for next May.

“Every great festival starts with a lineup – and this one’s no exception.

The first wave of breweries joining us in Copenhagen next May is here, and it’s already shaping up to be something special. We’re bringing together some of the most exciting names in beer, from hoppy powerhouses in the US to Nordic favorites and European standouts.”
“We’re super excited and truly honored that Samata Brewing will be part of MBCC 2026 in Copenhagen!
One of the coolest and most iconic beer festivals on the planet — and we can’t wait to bring some Thai vibes to the party. 🇹🇭✨
Huge thanks to Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen for having us.
Copenhagen, see you in 2026, we’re coming in full flavor mode!

Speaking of Samata Brewing, their Mango Sticky Rice beer recently made it on the top 10 beers of 2025 by Joe Stange, editor of Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine in the USA.

Latest Indian International Collaboration

Mannheim Brews hails from Bangalore, India and writes their mission is: “Crafting excellence. Bringing world-class beer to Bangalore. No compromises, No Crap On Tap.” They have paired up with United People’s Brewery (UPB) to make Sevanthi Rice Lager.
– This follows on the heals of the recent BrewAsia conference held in the city, thus another example of Bangkok’s International Brewing Connections.

Sevanthi Rice Lager

A special lager born from a major collaboration with India’s “Mannheim Craft Brewery”, known as an Indo-German Microbrewery specializing in beer production that emphasizes German standards and fermentation techniques.”

Mannheim's previous Bangkok Connection

This is not Manheim’s first collaboration with Thai craft brewery. In October, the brewery paired up with Call Me Papa to produce a sour IPA.

“We’ve teamed up with @callmepapa_brewhouse for our first-ever international collaboration, dropping a Sour IPA to celebrate our win as the Champion Brewery of India 2024! 🍻

This special Sour IPA, brewed using Yakima Chief Hops’ DynaBoost Sabro and Pink Boots Blend CY24, will make its debut at the Brew Asia Conference 2025 (@craftbrewasia), available at the Yakima Chief Hops (@yakimachief) booth on October 16th and 17th.
The release continues at the Callmepapa Brewhouse, Thailand.
Here’s to craft that travels, and collabs that rock!”
