Brewave at On Nut Cinema

A quick stop at the Brewave at On Nut Cinema, right outside On Nut BTS offers a chance to stay covered and get a bucket of popcorn* and a local beer.
* note: the popcorn is sold by the cinema, not Brewave. Just FYI.

Brewave at On Nut Cinema beer & popcorn

Beer in plastic cups, which is not the ideal for real beer snobs, but probably indicates that they don’t have a glass washer.
– drinks are offered in pint and 330ml sizes.

There are a couple of snacks available from Brewave, too.

Brewave has quite a few locations around Bangkok, and this location is given the term “plug-in” which seems to indicate it only offers a minimum of the normal stuff at a full size Brewave; like normal size Brewave bars have a full menu, and often a stage for live music, and more than just 6 taps available.

Perfect pairing?

Editor’s Note/story: For my little session at the Brewave Century, I ordered a Sundae Summer Fruited Sour, which had some sweet lemon notes in the beer, and had a slight sour finish. I then went over to the cinema counter to order a bucket of popcorn. Maybe its cultural, or sub-conscious, but getting a bucket of salty buttery popcorn was the the PERFECT PAIRING with the beer.
– Sweet & sour cold beer + warm, crunchy, & salty popcorn = amazing.

Easy to get to Beer Counter

There are only a few good bars in On-Nut area of Bangkok, [at least that we are aware of – if we are missing any, please let us know!] so it is good to know if you need a local Thai craft beer, and you want to avoid being outside because of the rain, this place is a good option.
