BK Magazine held their B.A.D. (Bangkok After Dark) awards for the local bars and party places in Bangkok. While there are a number of places that have won awards for their cocktails and their live music or brunching, the Bangkok Beer Guide would like to highlight some of the great bars that also offer some great beers, especially local beers.

Best Dive Bar: Fatty’s Bar & Diner
Fatty’s Bar & Diner takes the award for the 3rd year in a row, and is noted for being almost more of a community than just a bar. Reasons to visit include:
- lots of live music
- cheap and craft beers
- Wisconsin-themed bar
- tasty bar foods

Best Theme Bar: Arcadia Barcade
Arcadia is another bar known for making it’s own community. The bar keeps itself busy with a number of events through the week.

- dispensary
- cocktails and kratom
- movies and events on the roof

Best Beer Bar: Hair of the Dog
Hair of the Dog has two locations, Ploen Chit and the more popular in Phrom Phong. A big fridge of beers plus more on tap at both locations.

Haze Bar a runner up Beer Bars BAD Awards
Although not a winner, Haze bar was at least nominated for Best Beer bar, and so wanted to give them a shout out for being a great place for local beer, and more beer lovers should know about it.
