‘Bottle Rocket’ has closed, and will open in a new location as ‘Bottle Rockets’
Bottle Rocket Craft Beer Bar is a lively local spot on the 2nd floor above a Japanese restaurant north of central Bangkok. There are 20 taps of beer on offer, plus a fridge of bottles and cans. They offer a food and snack menu as well as free popcorn (salty).
The bar might be difficult to get a table if it is as busy as it tends to be on the weekend, but there are stools made from kegs at the bar if full. Live music performed over by the window keeps the crowd going, though though may not help the ability to chat easily.
Address: (2nd floor) 226, 7-8 Phahonyothin Rd, Samsen Nai, Phaya Thai. (Google Maps)
Getting to Bottle Rocket:
The bar is a little north of Victory Monument.
If taking public transportation, go to Sanam Pao BTS (skytrain) station, and the building is few steps from the exit 4 staircase. Look to the right as you come out of the station, the bar is above a Japanese restaurant. Look for the decoration of a spaceman and rocket next to a large round window.
