Thai on Taps at Bottle Rockets

Bottle Rockets is a bar that is really focused on live local music, but it also has food and drinks, of course.  The beers on offer are mostly imported. However, on Friday November 14th, the bar brought in 10 beers from a mix of different local Thai brewers for what they called ‘Thai on Taps at Bottle Rockets’ [sic].

Editor’s Note:

We had a fun time at Bottle Rockets on a Friday night. The live music had not started yet, so it was a chill place to enjoy beer and snacks:

  • Cashews with onion, chilis and lime juice
  • Order of fries came with 4 different sauces (pictured)
  • Fried Chicken slices

(Beer Notes)
The 10 taps of beer felt like a really good mix of different styles by Thai beers. Some highlights:

  • The Osiris Red Ale by Brainfill Brewing was a nice different beer from usual Hazy IPA
  • The DIPA by 96 Brewing was SO FRESH!!!
  • Samata’s Farang Guava was on tap, and at first didn’t seem all that special…. BUT!! Then the staff poured a little of the sweetened cumin onto the beer, it was a great balance of flavors (pictured)

Bottle Rockets - music, beer, & food

Bottle Rocket (singular) was originally located closer to Chatuchak Weekend Market and had a solid crowd enjoying their live music, beer, and food. In 2024, they have moved down to the Silom area (not far from Sala Daeng BTS) and added an “s” to the end of their name (making it plural).
